Receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a clear recording image having high color density and to improve the rigidity and the storage performance, in a receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording, by incorporating silicon resin in an image receiving layer of the receiving sheet. CONSTITUTION:In a receiving sheet, silicon resin is dispersed into binder resin on a supporting material such as synthetic paper or synthetic resin film so as to form an image receiving layer. Preferably, straight silicon is employed as the silicon resin being contained in the image receiving face. The binder resin for composing the image receiving layer includes amino alkyd resin. The silicon resin occupies 5-50wt% of the image receiving layer. In order to improve the properties of the layer surface, e.g. writing performance of the receiving sheet, image stability, etc., calcium carbonate may be added into the image receiving layer. Coating quantity of the image receiving layer onto the supporting material is in the range of 1-10g/m<2> in dried state.
