Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To save the mounting space of plural function circuits remarkably and to make the circuit functions of a self-test circuit sufficient in addition by integrating the plural function circuits constituting the major part of a control section together with the self test circuit. CONSTITUTION:A PIO 69 having each operating function, a PIO 73, a CPU 74, a DMA controller 75, an interruption controller 76, a timer 77, a mask ROM 75, a RAM 79 and a self-test circuit 80 added newly are integrated as one module to constitute a main control circuit 600. The main control circuit 600 is constituted by using the mega-cell system VLSI technology and attaining remarkable miniaturization in comparison with the circuit volume when each function circuit exists individually. The miniaturization of the VLSI forming of the self-test circuit 80 itself together with the reduced circuit volume of VLSI forming of each function circuit enables the circuit 80 having a sufficient function to be mounted to the circuit 600 and the main control circuit 600 is miniaturized.
