Inspection socket for semiconductor element
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To minimize the deterioration in characteristic of an electric signal by using pogo pins (contact terminals) which contact the part of the shoulder of an IC lead. CONSTITUTION:The terminals 2a and 2b of a socket 6 serve a guide when an IC 1 is inserted. The IC 1 which is inserted from above contacts the pogo pins 3a and 3b at the final stage. The pogo pins 3a and 3b have elasticity and move down to proper positions in conformity with the degree of the insertion of the IC 1. At this time, a signal system is transmitted from the pogo pins 3a and 3b through the shoulder of the lead 5 or the IC 1 and the socket 6 has the shortest transmission path. Thus, the pogo pins contacting the part of the shoulder of the IC lead are used to minimize the characteristic deterioration of the electric signal.
