Lens exchangeable focus detecting system and interchangeable lens
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To accurately discriminate the propriety of the detection of focus based on data concerning a projecting pupil read from a lens, by discriminating whether a focus detection means can execute the optically accurate detection of focus based on the data concerning the projecting pupil from the interchangeable lens and actuating the focus detection means if the detection of focus can be possible. CONSTITUTION:The data peculiar to the lens is fixedly stored in a storage means 6. When a reading signal from a body is inputted by a reading signal input means 7, a data transmission means 8 sequentially transmits the data stored in the storage means 6 to the body based on the reading signal. Since the data concerning the diameter of the projecting pupil and the position of the projecting pupil of the lens and the correction of image height is included in the data stored in the storage means 6, the shape of the projecting pupil can be corrected on the body side based on each data and the data concerning the projecting pupil can be accurately transmitted to the body even in the case of combining with the body having a distance measuring area outside an optical axis. Thus, whether the accurate detection of focus can be possible is accurately discriminated.
