Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate heat loss and to improve efficiency, by detecting the voltage across a coil of a smoothing circuit on the output side of a switching power circuit. CONSTITUTION:A switching power circuit of a converter system is composed of a switching power circuit section 3 and a choke input-type smoothing circuit 1 and feeds the current to a load resistance R. This choke input-type smoothing circuit 1 is equipped with a rectification circuit 2 made up of diodes 1a and 1b, connects an inductance L in series to the output of this rectification circuit 2 and also equipped with a capacitance C. It detects the output voltage across the abovementioned inductance (coil) L and feeds it back to the control section of a switching power circuit section 3 through a photocoupler Ph. In comparison with the reference voltage of the control section, the switching frequency or its duty of a switching transistor Q is thereby controlled.
