Programmable transfer machine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To aim at prevention of any machining efficiency drop due to trouble happening, by performing metalcutting operations in a way of reprogramming so as to cause a span of working time at each normal station to become almost equal at a time when a certain station gets out of order. CONSTITUTION:When trouble occurs in a station ST2, a machining program of a station ST1 is compiled by a set of unit programs NCDU1, NCDU2 and NCDU3, and the machining program of a station ST3 is compiled by a set of unit programs NCDU4, NCDU5 and NCDU6. Since these recopiled machining programs are all compiled by three unit programs, work processing time becomes almost equalized. Here, a host computer 1 discriminates a trouble station from a trouble signal, operating a number of the unit program to be transferred to a normal station, and it transfers by the N unit at a time in order and, after transfer completion, a workpiece is conveyed as much as one station pitch whereby metalcutting is started, thus machining efficiency is in no case dropped.
