Magnetic recording and reproducing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To easily perform a multi-channel recording at low cost by providing plural rotary drums, and winding one number of a magnetic tape around these drums at a prescribed angle, and performing the recording/reproducing of a signal. CONSTITUTION:The device is constructed so that it has the plural rotary drums 1, 2, on which respective magnetic heads are mounted, and one number of the magnetic tape 13 is wound around these plural rotary drums 1, 2 at the prescribed angle, and by forming plural number of recording tracks, the recording/ reproducing of the signal is performed. On the rotary drum 1, reproducing heads 3A and 3B, which are fixed on, for instance, a bimorph plate, and can be dynamic-tracking-controlled, are mounted, and at the same time, recording heads 4A and 4B are mounted. On the rotary drum 2, the reproducing heads 5A and 5B which are fixed on the bimorph plate and can be dynamic-tracking- controlled are mounted, and at the same time, the recording heads 6A and 6B are mounted. Thus, the recording/reproducing of a multi-channel can be performed without arranging the many heads on the one rotary drum.
