Dielectric filter
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To miniaturize the titled filter, and also, to easily manufacture it by making the characteristic impedance of a part of an open end side of a coaxial resonator smaller than the characteristic impedance of other part of the coaxial resonator. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric filter 10 is constituted of one rectangular parallelopiped-shaped dielectric block 12, and in the dielectric block 12, a hole 14a and 14b extending from its one end face 12a to the opposed end face are formed in parallel to each other at an interval, and two coaxial resonators are constituted. In these holes 14a, 14b, a stepwise step difference 15a and 15b are formed, respectively. Also, between the hole 14a and 14b, for instance, a square hole 20 for coupling is formed, and by this square hole 20, two coaxial resonators are coupled. Moreover, by the step difference 15a and 15b, thickness of the upper part of a medium between inner conductors 16a, 16b and an outer conductor 18 of each coaxial resonator is formed thinner than thickness of the lower part. Accordingly, the characteristic impedance of the upper part of each coaxial resonator is formed smaller than the characteristic impedance of the lower part.
