Fluid encapsulated vibration-proof supporting device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To exhibit a target dynamic spring condition freely, by applying an alternating magnetic field onto an aqueous magnetic fluid flowable through an orifice for communicating between first and second fluid chambers and deriving a thickening effect thereby controlling the production of the alternating magnetic field thus controlling the dynamic spring characteristic being provided by the orifice means. CONSTITUTION:An alternating magnetic field where magnetic fields of reverse direction are combined alternately is applied onto an aqueous magnetic fluid 26 flowable through an orifice 34 for communicating between first and second fluid chambers 20, 24 so as to derive an apparent thickening effect effectively. When the production of said alternating magnetic field is controlled from the outside, the dynamic spring characteristic based upon the fluidity of the aqueous magnetic fluid 26 is controlled effectively thus exhibiting a target dynamic spring condition freely. Consequently, when the production of the alternating magnetic field is controlled according to the operating condition of a vehicle, a mount function for damping or isolating the vibration occurring under various operational conditions most effectively can be achieved.
