System for recovering corrective source program library file

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a file required for the recovery of a source program library file, by providing a recovery information conversion means, etc., and converting and preserving correction information to recovery information. CONSTITUTION:A source program library editor 2 reads a source program from the source program library file 7, and performs the correction of the source program according to the correction instruction of a correction instruction string 1. In other words, a correction information collecting means 3 collects information with respect to a position and a range to which a source program part is inserted if the correction instruction shows the insertion, and the information with respect to the content and the position of the source program part to be targeted if the instruction shows the deletion. Next, the recovery information conversion means 4 performs the conversion so that the correction information collected at the means 3 can be changed to the recovery information. And a recovery information output means 5 outputs the recovery information converted at the means 4 in an input form to the editor 2 to a recovery information preserving file 6. Thus, by converting and preserving the correction information to the recovery information, the capacity of the file 6 can be reduced.
