Optical disk device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of a medium and an optical head by generating a forced convection due to a blowing fan in a tightly closed case box, and arranging a filter in the flow. CONSTITUTION:In the case box, in which an optical disk recording mechanism is surrounded by a shield cover 4, a front mask 5 and a base plate 3 and tightly closed, an air flow, shown by arrow marks A, B is generated by the revolution of the blowing fan 7. Since the filter 6 is arranged in the air flow, a dust contained in the air flow tightly closed in the case box is removed by the filter 6. The case box shuts off tightly the ventilation of the air between an outside, so the dust in the case box can be reduced with the lapse of the operating time of an optical disk device. Thus, the prevention against the contamination of the medium 1 and the optical head 30 can be achieved.
