Roller bearing
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make taper rollers normally function to support a rotating shaft steadily and detachably by using the taper roller which is formed of ceramics sintered material, and larger in its density at its small diametral end than at its large one. CONSTITUTION:A taper roller 3 is formed so as to be larger in its density at its small diametral end 3a than at its large diametral end 3b. The rotation of a rotating shaft 10 causes a radial and a thrust load to act on the roller 3. In this case, the small diametral end 3a of the roller 3 is subjected to the loads heavier in comparison with the large diametral end 3b of the roller 3. Since the small diametral end 3a of the roller 3 is larger in the density and more excellent in hardness and abrasion resistance, abrasion loss due to heavy load can be controlled low. Thus the taper roller can normally function to support the rotating shaft 10 steadily and detachably.
