Magnetic core material made of fe base alloy for high frequency
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To decrease eddy current loss by forming the titled material of the structure which is formed by incorporating a specific ratio of C together with Si into Fe and in which a specific volumetric per cent of graphite is dispersed into the base of ferrite. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic material contains, by weight, 1-5% Si and 1-4% C, contains 0.05-1% Mn or 0.01-0.2%>=1 kinds of Mg and Ce at need and consists of the balance Fe. The core material has further the structure in which 3-20% by volume of the graphite is dispersed into the base of ferrite. This magnetic core material has the decreased eddy current loss; therefore, the rise of the magnetic flux thereof is faster, namely, the magnetic core material has the additionally improved high-frequency AC magnetic characteristic. The C component in such Fe alloy is mostly dispersed as graphite so that the high-frequency AC magnetic characteristic is additionally improved. However, the volumetric per cent of the graphite deviates from the above-mentioned range and the desired effect is not obtainable if the content of C is not in the above-mentioned range.
