Developer replenishing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To peel a seal member after a detachable cartridge is loaded and to prevent toner from falling and scattering by mounting and demounting the detachable cartridge on and from a developing device at right angles to the lengthwise direction of a developing roller. CONSTITUTION:While a mount table 10a is rotated around the support shaft 14 of a support member 10 until it is almost in level, the cartridge 1 is pressed in with the ticking surface of the seal member 2 up as shown by an arrow, and then a click 11 engages the recessed part 8 of a lug part 7, so that the bottom part 9 is set on a platen 10a. In this state, the cartridge 1 never disengages from the support member 10 even when the external seal member 2 is peeled by gripping its grip. Then, the grip of the support member 10 is gripped to rotate the support member 10 around the support shaft 14 as shown by an arrow B and the top plate 5 of the cartridge 1 is made to abut on a packing 16 stuck at one end of the back plate 15 of the developing device, thus loading the cartridge. Thus, the cartridge 1 is loaded at right angles to the lengthwise direction of the developing roller 20.
