Cartridge for powder developer

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent flying of toner along with movement of toner and perform replenishment of developer without contaminating the surroundings by containing the powder developer in the cartridge of a length approximately the same as that of a developing roller and supplying the developer to an electrophotographic appratus. CONSTITUTION: A cartridge 1 is a case of a slender hexahedron assuming a trapezoidal section and its length is approximately equal to the length of a developing roller. Its top plate 5 and slant plate 6 are so smoothly formed as to be able to make close contact with the back plate 15 of the developing device and the strap plate 10b of a supporting member 10 respectively by way of packing materials 16 and 12. The posture of the cartridge when mounted is set at such an angle at which the top plate 5 including an opening is erected the toner smoothly falls and flows out. Since the cartridge 1 is fixed, there is no likelihood of flying of the toner at the time of stripping of the sealing member 2. When the supporting member 10 is turned in the arrow direction, mounting of the cartridge is completed. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
