Leaf spring made of fiber reinforced resin
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To bring a plate-shaped reinforcing material into close contact without any looseness of U-bolts, by embedding, in U-bolts clamping portion, the plate- shaped reinforcing material with a larger elastic coefficient than that of fiber reinforced resin being taper-formed at its longitudinal end parts and having through holes in its thickness direction. CONSTITUTION:A plate-shaped reinforcing material 4 made of a steel plate having higher elastic coefficient than that of fiber reinforced resin is embedded inside a part 2 at which a leaf spring 1 made of fiber reinforced resin is clamped with U-bolts 5. The plate-shaped reinforcing material 4 has the longitudinal end parts 4a thereof tapered in a thin form and has a plurality of through- hole in its thickness direction. No stress concentration takes place in the contact between both materials of steel and resin and fiber reinforced resin will be forced into the through-holes. Therefore, the plate-shaped reinforcing material 4 can then make closer contact with the fiber reinforced resin without any looseness generated in the U-bolts 5.
