Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make a follow-up feeding phenomenon of paper so as not to occur even in case size of the paper to be fed is small, by altering suction force of a suction box according to paper size. CONSTITUTION:In the case where size of paper 2 is small, if a paper rear end guide 12 is moved to the left as adjusted to the size of the paper 2, interlocking with this movement, a valve plate 10 also moves to the left, so that a part of a through hole 4d is opened. With this constitution, since a part of the atmosphere flows into a suction box 4a from this through hole 4d, suction force in this suction box 4a reduces up to a degree of pressure capable of conveying the small sized paper 2. And, with this reduction of the suction force, pressure to be reduced at the time ranging from that a paper detector detects the paper 2 to that a valve is fully closed also comes to be like a curve B shown in illustration, whereby it becomes less than the conveying force (B) required for conveyance, so that even if a rear end of the paper 2 passes through the rear end of the suction box 4a and thereby a clearance is produced there, follow-up feed of the next part 2 is surely preventable.
