Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To remove the unevenness of surface electric potential and density by forming a code/coloring part on the surface of a ground layer for an image recording layer. CONSTITUTION:An angular, elliptic or circular coloring part 4a1/bar code 4a2 is formed on the surface of the ground layer 2 under a photosensitive layer 3. At the start of copying in an image forming process, the drum coloring part 4a1 is detected by an image density controlling sensor 17 and information is sent to a CPU through a cable 18 by setting up the detected part as a reference position of the photosensitive drum 1. The information and paper size information sent from a cassette 9 to the CPU through a cable 19 are operated in the CPU and driving control signals for an optical system 6 and a timing control 10 are outputted from the CPU. The optical system driving and paper feed timing are controlled by the control signals so that superposition of image formation is successively shifted in each copying, so that uneven potential on the photosensitive body 1 is suppressed at its minimum. Consequently, stable copy images free from uneven density can be obtained at the time of continuous copying.
