Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To extend the transmission distance without giving any remolding to a conventional remote transmitter by replacing a part of a space being an optical transmission line with a transmission line not spread spatially such as an optical fiber or a conductor wire. CONSTITUTION:A part of a transmission line for an optical signal is formed as a transmission line not spread spatially. Since input information 1, a modulator 2 and a light emitting device 3 are used as conventional ones and the entirely same optical signal from the light emitting device 3 as a conventional device is released into space 4. The optical signal is received by a photodetector 5 near the light emitting device 3 and released from a light emitting device 7 into space 8 through a transmission line 6 not spread spatially such as an optical fiber. The optical signal released to the space 8 reaches a photodetector 9 and become output information 11 via the photodetector 9 and a demodulator 10 functioning as conventional devices.
