Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To intensity the extent of pressure in a wheel cylinder at the time of stoppage, by impressing braking pressure on it if a necessary condition for pressure boosting occurs during closure of a selector valve, which closes at times of antiskid control and car stoppage and cuts off interconnection between a pressure generating device and a braking device. CONSTITUTION:A selector valve 40 being installed in a feed pipe 20 interconnects brake pipes 21 and 22 through at a first position but cuts off this interconnection between these brake pipes 21 and 22 at a second position. And, when a wheel speed is slower than the setting car speed and a brake pedal 1 is operated, it is judged as stoppage, so that the selector valve 40 is switched to the second position, keeping pressure in each of wheel cylinders 4 and 5. Afterward, when a car moves due to a shortage of braking force and a wheel speed signal is generated there, an electric motor 7 is rotated for the specified time long, and pressure in these wheel cylinders 4 and 5 is made to be boosted by a pump 6.
