Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To register a proper translated words by a user while confirming contents of a translated word dictionary, by displaying the corresponding translated word dictionary and translated words registered by the user when translated words are registered. CONSTITUTION:When a cursor is moved to a word of an English sentence on the screen of a display part 8 and a dictionary register key in an input part 1 is depressed, a translation editing part 4 reads out pertinent one of translated words stored in a translated word dictionary 6b of a translation dictionary 6 and displays it in an editing area on the screen of the display part 8. Simultaneously, pertinent one of translated words registered in a register dictionary 6e by the user is displayed on the same editing area with a high luminance. The user sees them to recognize that a translated word to be registered newly is necessary and effective, and thereafter, the translated word is registered.
