Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To replenish toner properly even to a deviated picture by controlling toner replenishment from plural replenishing parts of a toner replenishing tank basing of the result of detection of a toner density sensor provided near both ends of a photosensitive body drum. CONSTITUTION:Before copying an original, a basic latent image formed on a photosensitive drum is developed, and the density is detected by toner density sensors provided in two places near both ends of the photosensitive body drum in axial direction, and a driving source 36 is driven clockwise/counterclockwise through a control device. Thereby, a toner replenishing roller 33 is rotated, and toner in a toner replenishing tank 30 is replenished by a blade section into a developing tank from a replenishing hole 32a or a hole 32b selectively depending on the direction of rotation. An agitating rod 31 is rotated by a gear 31a and agitates toner. By this constitution, toner is supplied properly even to a deviated image, toner concentration is regulated and images of stable density can be obtained.
