Polyphenylene sulfide resin composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which has excellent electrical conductivity, antistatic properties and moldability and little causes lowering in mechanical strength, consisting of two specified kinds of polyphenylene sulfide resins and electrically conductive carbon black. CONSTITUTION:4-45pts.wt. electrically conductive carbon black (a) having DBP oil absorption of 400-750ml/100g and contg. 200ppm or below of Ni and V in total is dispersed in 100pts.wt. polyphenylene ether resin (b) having a melt flow rate of 2.5-10kg/10min as measured at 315 deg.C under a load of 5kg with a melt indexer according to ASTM-D1238-70T to obtain a resin compsn. (A). The component A is dry-blended with a polyphenylene sulfide resin (B) having a melt flow rate of 10-1,500g/10min measured under the same conditions as those described above in a weight ratio of A/B of 0.1-4 and the blend is kneaded.
