Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To detect abnormal discharge at high accuracy by applying synchronization with the aid of a voltage detecting signal equal to the generation period of vibration due to abnormal discharge and accumulating and adding a wave. CONSTITUTION:After a vibration meter 2 detects vibration due to corona discharge caused in the abnormal part 9 or a central conductor 8, for instance, and an amplifier amplifies said vibration which is impressed on an arithmetic unit 4. On the other hand, a voltage with a phase the same as the central conductor 8 is induced in an electrode 121 due to electrical capacitance between said conductor 8 and the electrode 121, and the waveform of the induced voltage is equal to the voltage waveform 20 of the central conductor 8. The arithmetic unit 4 amplifies only the signal synchronizing with the voltage waveform 20 among signals detected by the vibration voltage waveform 20 among signals detected by the vibration meter, and separates other noise components by a accumulating and adding only a vibration wave 11. As a result, the peak value of the signal becomes high, and a vibration wave 12 due to other vibration becomes relatively low. Such the comulative addition is repeated with some extent, whereby the vibration wave 12 caused by the vibration other than corona discharge comes to a low level which can be neglected, and the signal waveform is decided by a deciding device 5.
