Polling method in vehicle location system
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To decrease equivalently the polling period and to give an optimum command by using a call code changing the combination of elements at a central unit to apply simultaneous calling again when plural vehicles make response and collision takes place. CONSTITUTION:A simultaneous calling is applied to buses running on one line by group polling by lines. In sending a polling signal (designated by II call element) to reply buses at each bus stop (a) according to the command by the simultaneous calling I call element to the said group, each bus uses an on-vehicle equipment 5 in response to a response area (a) of each bus stop to reply the call when the call calls the own bus and the departure of a bus stop mark 12 is sent to a central unit 1 and it is received by a receiver of the stop 12 to change the display of location of buses. When calling comes from plural buses at the same time, the II call element is changed to each bus of the group, group polling is applied again to specify the responding bus.
