Optical recording and reproducing device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To set a prescribed loading state even to a photo-magnetic disc and an optical disc by providing a discriminating means between the photo-magnetic disc and a disc other than the photo-magnetic disc to a part of a disc cartridge storing the disc. CONSTITUTION:When disc cartriges 69A, 69B are loaded to a recording and reproducing device while being inserted for the recording/reproduction, since the length of a slot 82A of the disc cartridge 69A is short, an engaging piece 75 of the lever 71 contacts the wall face of the deepest part of the slot 82A in the way inserting the cartridges to the normal insertion position to depress the lever 71, which is moved. Through the movement above, a couple of levers 66a are brought into the state passing from a slope and is supported at a high end 74A from the state supported at a low end 74B and a field coil 64 is retreated tuningly upward. On the other hand, in case of the disc cartridge 69B, since a long groove 82B is provided and even when the cartridge is inserted by a prescribed insertion, an engaging piece 75 of the lever 71 exists in the groove 82B and the lever 71 is held to the state not moved.
