Editing system for terminal retrieving data

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To attain the effective application of an application memory by using the memory of a remote supervisory unit as a terminal retrieving editing buffer when the supervisory unit retrieves the terminal state. CONSTITUTION:When a command is delivered to a terminal 100 from a remote supervisory unit 200 for editing and transfer of data, the terminal 100 sends each data on its state directly to the unit 200 without editing them on an application memory 180. The unit 200 stores those received data in a memory 270 and uses a data area 272 as an editing buffer to edit the terminal retrieving data. As a result, a program area 181 in the memory 180 receives no effect at all from the editing process of the data to be retrieved. This ensures the effective use of the memory 180.
