Adjusting method for feedforward amplifier

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To adjust the amplifier quickly and accurately without decreasing the gain by arranging a resistor having the same insertion loss as that of a high resistor for test to the delay line side of a feedforward amplifier to adjust the amplifier and disconnecting the high resistor for test and the resistor arranged at the delay line side after the end of adjustment. CONSTITUTION:A resistor having a resistance equivalent to that of high resistance couplers A, B is inserted in advance to the delay line 11 of an error signal detection loop and a delay line 5 of a loop injecting an error signal respectively to adjust the suppressing quantity of a main amplifier 3 and an error amplifier 9, and after the end of adjustment, the resistance equivalent to the resistance of the high resistance couplers is disconnected from the feedforward amplifier. Thus, the adjustment of the amplifier is executed easily and accurately.
