Magnetic picture recording and reproducing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To complete the recording at a commercial time zone and to reproduce a magnetic tape by displaying the elapsed time on the screen of a television receiver when the input to the television receiver is switched from the tuner circuit to the reproducing side. CONSTITUTION:When a changeover switch 4 is switched to the tuner circuit 2 and a broadcast program in on-air is viewed, the commercial time zone is incoming. In this case, in switching the changeover switch 4 to the reproducing circuit 6, a changeover switch 14a is switched at the same time and a counter circuit 14 is triggered. As a result, the count of the elapsed time by the counter circuit 14 is started and an encode circuit 15 encodes the count output into a video signal required for the on-screen display. The encoded video signal is added to the output of the reproducing circuit 6 by an adder circuit 12, then a picture with the elapsed time at a part of a reproduced picture is displayed on the screen on the television receiver 5.
