Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To avoid the delay of time in which a vehicle starts to change course by calculating the lateral acceleration speed generated on a vehicle according to the steering operation and correcting the delay in turning a steering wheel by the estimated lateral acceleration speed signal calculated. CONSTITUTION:When a driver turns a steering wheel, a steering shaft 20 is revolved in a column tube 21, and a magnetic semiconductor element 12 generates a pulse signal. The pulse voltage generated by the magnetic semiconductor element 21 is supplied into a computer 14 from a pulse count circuit 13. In the computer 14, the lateral acceleration speed is calculated by the output signal supplied from the pulse count 13, related to the signals supplied from the pulse count 13, related to the signals supplied from a vehicle speed sensor 22. The computer 14 controls the opening and closing of a turn-delay correcting solenoid valve by controlling the electric current which flows in the turn-delay correcting solenoid valve by the estimated lateral acceleration speed signal calculated.
