Sun roof frame installation structure

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent unusual noise caused by binding between peripheries of locating pin holes after locating pins have been removed by allowing locating pins, which are used for not only positioning a sun roof frame but also making a joint with a roof panel, to be detachably installed on the roof panel side. CONSTITUTION:By a step of engaging a locating pin 5, which is installed at a given position in a reinforcement 3 attached to the back of a roof panel 1, with a locating hole 6 formed on a sun roof frame 4, the frame 4 is positioned and is joined with the roof reinforcement 3. In this case, a bracket 8 in an inversed L shape equipped with a weld nut 7 is joined with both sides of the front section of the reinforcement 3, then the pin 5 is detachably secured into the nut 7 from the down side. Accordingly, a screw portion 5a is formed on one end of the pin 5, and a tool holding portion 5b is also formed on the other end.
