Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform stabilized capacity control while preventing piston vibration by forming gas vent passages in a piston and cylinder for capacity control for communicating, when the piston reaches a predetermined position, a back pressure chamber with a secondary pressure passage. CONSTITUTION:A piston 44 for opening and closing a medium pressure chamber 262 and a suction chamber 263 is arranged in a cylinder 49 wherein can be applied discharge pressure via a solenoid valve 45. When the solenoid valve 45 is made to close, the pressure in the cylinder 49 gradually leaks and reduces and, when the pressure reduces below that in the medium pressure chamber 262, the piston 44 beings to go up. When the piston 44 reaches a certain position, the pressure in the cylinder 49 escapes via a gas vent passage 492 formed in the inner wall of the cylinder 49 toward the suction chamber which is a secondary pressure passage and the piston 44 instantly goes up to the top position.
