Microwave oven with piezoelectric sensor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the heating condition of a food with a simple construction by utilizing a piezoelectric element sensor as a sensor for detecting the conditions of gases developed from a food during cooking and further installing the above said sensor to the wall of a heating room with an insulator between them. CONSTITUTION:The terminal 2 of a piezoelectric element sensor 1 is fixed to a sensor mounting plate 3 which consists of an electric and thermal insulation material such as a printing substrate, etc. and it is also mounted to the wall 4 of a heating room with small screws 5. Warm steam containing moisture transfer its heat to a piezoelectric element 30 through a vibration case 33, and signal voltage is generated in response to the differential quantity of this change of heat. It is, however, possible to take out signal with a small temperature rise in the sensor due to heat transfer from the storage wall during continuous heating and without lowering the output of the sensor, because the sensor is mounted through a material that is insulated thermally from the storage wall of the heating room.
