Deceleration energy recovery apparatus for vehicle

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the fuel consumption by functioning the pump/motor as a pump under deceleration to accumulate the working oil in an accumulator while functioning as a motor when starting where the engine rotation is lower than specific parameter level. CONSTITUTION:Under deceleration, the rotation of wheel is transmitted through the spindle 4, spindle PTO gear 6, drive gear 7 and PTO output shaft 8 to a pump/motor 16 which will function as a pump to accumulate the working oil in the oil tank into an accumulator. While when the specific parameter level representing the engine rotation is lower than specific level under starting, control means will turn off the clutch 2 to connect with the counter shaft PTO gear synchronizer 11 thus to drive the pump/motor 16 by means of the pressure oil from the accumulator and to transmit through PTO output shaft 8, drive gear 7, spindle PTO gear, counter shaft PTO gear 10, counter shaft 5 and spindle 4 to the wheel 12. Consequently, fuel consumption and acceleration performance can be improved.
