Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To keep off any refrigerant storage in an external heat exchanger at the time of heating, by constituting a device so as to check a refrigerant flowing into a heat exchanger for heating within the refrigerant suction time inhaling the refrigerant from the external heat exchange at a start of heating, in case of the above-captioned air conditioner using an engine cooling water. CONSTITUTION:An electric circuit 9 connects an air-conditioning mode selector switch 92 to a heating contact 92 and, after being set to heating operation, and keeps a solenoid valve 81 as closed intact till a suction time that a refriger ant compressor 1 inhales a refrigerant out of an external heat exchanger 2 elapses since it has been set to heating operation, and a clutch 11 is set to ON, a fan 21 to OFF and a four-way valve 8 to the heating side, respectively. And, after the elapse of the setting time, thesolenoid valve 81 is opened, allowing the refrigerant to flow into a heat exchanger 7 for heating. Thus, at a start of heating, the refrigerant is preventable from being stored inside the external heat exchanger.
