Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce energy loss, by feeding current so that the contact position of each electrode of a current-feeding flexible print circuit and an electrostrictive element may be set at an intermediate position between the antinode and the node of the oscillatory wave of A phase and B phase. CONSTITUTION:An oscillatory wave motor is composed of a cross-section- trapezoidal and ring-formed oscillator 1, an electrostrictive element 2 made of a ring-formed piezoelectric unit bonded integrally on the bottom surface of the oscillator 1, a ring-formed rotary body 6, a ball 7, a housing 10, and the like. In this case, the electrostrictive element 2 is provided with the polarization treatment section of two phase A, B and respective electrode patterns, common electrodes, and the like are formed, and a current-feeding flexible print circuit 11 is pressed against the electrostrictive element 2 with an oscillation absorber 4 and a pressure-welding member 5. The central position of current-feeding contact patterns against electrodes is set at an intermediate position between the antinode and the node of the waveform of A phase and B phase. As a result, the lowering of the driving efficiency of the rotary body 6 can be minimized.
