Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To lighten the weight of a movable section and improve accelerating property, by setting a movable magnet magnetized in the direction of the thickness, to be aligned and confronted with a plurality of yokes. CONSTITUTION:A linear motor is organize with a sliding substrate 11 integrated with a movable magnet 51 and the like, coils 61-62, yokes 63-65, and the like. The movable magnet 51 is formed by magnetizing a plate-formed ferritic unit in the direction of the thickness, and is connected to the sliding substrate 11 via a non-magnetic retaining member 52. On the both sides of the substrate 11, sliding bearings 12c-13c are received and engaged with guide shafts 14-15. The yokes 63-64 are respectively wound up with the coils 61-62, and the both yokes 63-64 is organized so that the respective end surfaces may be aligned and confronted with each other. Then, the movable magnet 51 is set between the yokes 63-64 confronted with each other so that the magnet 51 may be magnetically balanced in view of the thickness direction and the level direction, thereby without the generation of a magnetic attracting force, the bearing of a low cost can be adopted.
