Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To adjust a resonance frequency in a wider range without lowering Q0 sharply, by providing a conductor case, dielectric resonator element fixed in the conductor case, tuning unit composed of a dielectric which is to be combined with the dielectric resonator element, displacing means of the tuning unit, and fixing means. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric resonator element 24 is held in a case 12 under a fixed condition and a dielectric resonator 10 which utilizes TE01delta mode is constituted as a whole. On the inner wall of the hollow section 26 of the resonator element 24 two recess parts 28 facing each other are formed and tuning units 30 having a rectangular parallelepipidous shape and made of a high- dielectric-constant dielectric material, such as ceramics, etc., are relatively loosely put in the recess parts 28. The rotational movement of a shaft 42 is changed to the linear movement of guides 34 and 36 and, accordingly, the tuning units 30 are displaced in the radial direction of the dielectric resonator element 24. When the guides 34 and 36 are held between a guide plate 43a and movable plate 43b, the tuning units 30 are fixed. Therefore, a set resonance frequency is never shifted even when vibrations are given from the outside.
