Decorating method of metal surface and decorated metallic product

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To manufacture a metallic produce applied with three-dimensional decoration by printing a pattern on the surface of a metal with special ink, recessing the part other than the patterned part by etching, grinding, etc., forming a primer coating and the first colored layer on the whole surface, printing further the seond colored layer on the protruded part, and the forming a transparent layer on the whole surface. CONSTITUTION:Desired letters, patterns, etc. 2 are printed on the surface of a metal 1 such as aluminum and stainless steel with ink having resistance to chemicals or impact or abrasion. Then the part other than the part 2 patterned with ink is chamically etched or sandblasted to form a recess, and the pattern 2 is protruded. After the ink on the pattern is removed and a primer coating 13 is applied on the whole surface of the metal, the first colored layer 4 is formed. Then after the second colored layer 5 is printed on the protruded pattern 2, a top coating 6 consisting of a transparent synthetic resin such as acrylic resin is coated on the whole surface.
