Preventing method of car slip due to acceleration

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent a slip due to acceleration surely from occurring by controlling an engine power in such a manner that the torque transmitted from the engine to the driving wheel does not exceed the allowable limit of the torque which has been set in response to the condition of a road on which a car is running. CONSTITUTION:A torque detecting device IV arranged in the power transmission system I detects the torque transmitted to the driving wheel III from an engine II, and transmits the detected signal to an engine power control device VI. And a road condition detecting device V detects the condition of a road on which a car is running, and transmits the detected signal to the engine power control device VI. The engine power control device VI then controls the output of the engine power II not to exceed the allowable limit of the torque for slip due to acceleration which has been set in response to the detected road condition.
