Extrusion covering method
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To achieve an covering of a base material without even thickness at a high speed without interposition of any adhesive, by melting and extruding a mixture blended with a specified polypropyrene. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of crystalline polypropyrene, itaconic anhydride and organic peroxide is melted and heated in an extruder to obtain modified polypropyrene. The denatured polypropyrene or a mixture of the denatured polypropyrene and up to 85wt% of crystalline polypropyrene is melted, extruded and withdrawn at the speed of max. 250m/min to enable a covering ideal for paper or plastic film. Here, there is sufficient adhesivity between these materials without interposition of any adhesive and even in a long time after the covering thereof, sufficient adhesivity remains. Moreover, the covering material herein used shall be denatured polypropyrene or a mixture thereof containing crystalline polypropyrene and displays an excellent effect for resistance to oil.
