Empty tote supply/recovery system in distribution center

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To maintain totes always clean so that they may be put in reuse by washing collected used empty tote before reuse. CONSTITUTION:Various kinds and large quantities of package commodities received from respective makers or the like, being loaded in totes, are transferred into other totes to be repacked therein and delivered in compliance with the contents of orders issued from respective shops. In this case, used empty totes are taken out of a rotary rack 2 at a picking station 5, where package commodities are subjected to picking from the totes loaded on the rotary rack 2 in compliance with the orders issued from respective hops, and cleaned through a washing machine 18. Thereafter, these cleaned totes are conveyed to the packing station 5 again to be reused thee for packing.
