Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To know a timing for inspection meeting an actual use by constituting a titled device in such a manner that the number of copies necessary for an ordinary periodic inspection can be accumulated from the point of the time of an interim inspection by a simple operation. CONSTITUTION:A PM (maintenance) cycle set mode is established and a 'P00' is displayed on a magnification display LED57 when the operator turns on a power source while keep pushing keys '2' and '5'. The operator pushes a zoom button 56 until the LED57 displays 'P27' in order to search the address to change. A ten-thousand unit is set at 2 when the operator inputs, for example, '2' by using numeric keys 51 and pushes a copy start button 59. A thousand unit is then set at 5 when the operator pushes the button 59 after operating a button 56 to display 'P28' on the LED57 and inputting, for example, '5' by the keys 51. The number of copies necessary for the periodic inspection from the point of the time of the interim inspection is successively accumulated even in the stage of said inspection in the above-mentioned manner and therefore the timing for the next periodic inspection is known and the smooth copying operation is assured.
