Painting method

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To impart excellent corrosion resistance to a metal being an article to be painted by enhancing the close adhesiveness of said metal with a powder paint and a tacky layer, in a method for painting the powdery paint after the formation of the tacky layer, by containing a specific additive to said tacky layer. CONSTITUTION:As the resin forming a tacky layer, one having the mutual reactivity with a powder paint is used and, for example, in the case of an epoxy resin type powder paint, a liquid epoxy resin alone or qan epoxy resin composition compounded with a curing agent is used and, in the case of a polyester or acrylic one, the liquid epoxy resin or high b.p. alcohol is used. Further, at least one of a chelate resin, of which the stability constant with a metal being an article to be painted is 5 or more, or 8-hydroxyquinoline is compounded in the tacky layer in an amount of 20-40pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the resin contained in the tacky layer.
