Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:The title compsn. permitting rapid writing, input through a keyboard and large-capacity display, which is prepd. by incorporating a specified liquid crystal compd. and a chiral nematic liquid crystal compd. CONSTITUTION:At least one liquid crystal compd. selected from among 10-70wt% ethane-base liquid crystal compd. of the formula I, II, etc., 10-60wt% bicyclohexane-base liquid crystal compd. of the formula III, IV, etc. and 15-85wt% ester-base liquid crystal compd. or the formula V, VI, etc. is mixed with 8-40wt% chiral nematic liquid crystal compd. and, if necessary, with an auxiliary liquid crystal compd. such as a biphenyl-base or cyclohexane- base liquid crystal compd. to obtain a storage-type liquid crystal compsn. in the cholesteric/nematic phase inversion form having positive dielectric anisotropy.
