Variable capacity radial turbine

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make a turbine housing smaller by deflecting the center of a round fitting hole of the housing to the side of a tongue-shaped part from the axis center of a turbine rotor. CONSTITUTION:A round fitting hole 20A is formed in a turbine housing for containing a turbine rotor, and a housing cover is fitted therein. The center OA of the fitting hole 20A is deflected from the axis center 1A of the turbine rotor to a point closer to the rotary axis 15A of the tongue-shaped part. Accordingly, the diameter of the fitting hole 20A can be smaller and the sizes of the turbine housing and the housing cover can be diminished.
