Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to make printing pressure constant without increasing the capacity of a driving power source, by changing the driving frequency and lateral feed speed of a printing wire corresponding to the detection value of driving voltage. CONSTITUTION:The driving transistors 25-28 of a stepping motor 24 for laterally feeding printing wires 1-11 are provided while a control circuit 31 for changing the driving cycles of transistors 12-23 and transistors 25-28 by the signal from a detection circuit 30 for detecting the voltage value of a power source 29 is provided. Because the voltage of the power source 29 is sufficiently high at the start time of printing, the control circuit 31 drives the transistors 12-23, 25-28 at a min. cycle. When printing continues and voltage begins to fall, the voltage detection circuit 30 informs this state to the control circuit 31 to prolong the driving cycles of the transistors 12-23, 25-28. Because the driving cycle of esch printing wire and the lateral feed speed thereof are changed by this method, printing pressure can be made constant without increasing the capacity of the driving power source.
