Oil spill treatment agent

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:A treatment for leaking oil, capable of emulsifying and dispersing a leaking oil spontaneously with waves without requiring stirring operation, comprising a specific amount of a specified (poly)oxyethylenic compound and a specific amount of a specified nonionic surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:The aimed treatment for leaking oil, comprising (A) >=10wt% (preferably 30-70wt%) compound shown by the formula [R is (5-10C side chain-containing) alkyl, alicyclic group, or phenyl; X is H, or methyl; n is 1-7] and (B) >=10wt% (preferably 30-70wt%) nonionic surface active agent [e.g., polyoxyethylene alkyl (phenyl)ether, etc.] having preferably 8-12 HLB. EFFECT:Capable of treating a leaking oil only by scattering the treatment by an airplane over a leaked place not to be treated by ships with ease.
