Original feeding method of copying machine

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To set automatically such a proper conveyance period time that each conveyed original does not overlap with another original for each original by detecting distance a little bit longer than the conveyance-directional length of originals which are conveyed successively and setting previously the conveyance period time required to run a conveyor belt by the distance. CONSTITUTION:Originals 10 stacked on an original tray 4 are sent out toward a paper feed roller 32, sheet by sheet, from the top, and a conveyor roller 33 is pressed against a lower pressure roller 33a, so that a conveyed original is inserted to the nip point of the pressure roller 33a and positioned. When a driving roller 35 rotates, the original is pressed by a pressure roller 37 between contact glass 2 and the conveyor belt 28 and slid on the surface of the contact glass 2. Sensors SS1-SS3 detect whether any original is present at their positions or not. Those are arranged at proper positions and consists of a photosensor or limit switch, etc.
