Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:Top enhance developed color density and raw preservability, by providing a heat-sensitive layer comprising either a color former or a color developer and a compound having a melting point lowering effect on the color developer on a base. CONSTITUTION:The heat-sensitive layer comprising either of a color former performing a color forming reaction when being heated, a color developer and an optional color forming reaction assistant, or a combination of the color former and the assistant or a combination of the color developer and the assistant, in the state of being microencapsulated, is provided on the base to produce the thermal recording material. It is necessary that a plasticizer for a wall material of microcapsules and a compound having a melting point lowering effect on at least one of the color developer and the assistant be incorporated in the interior, the wall material or the exterior of the microcapsules.
